ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Online Trade Manager will be responsible for driving profitable growth for the JD Malaysia website, leading the multi-channel team to achieve both sales and margin targets. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day execution of digital activities across social, CRM, and website content, ensuring that all digital communications and strategies contribute to consistent year-on-year growth. The individual will identify key commercial opportunities to optimize performance, while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to secure the necessary buy-in to support and accelerate online growth.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the JD Malaysia website’s multi-channel strategy to achieve sales, profit, and conversion goals, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Oversee continuous improvements to site metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and overall user experience (search, navigation, copy, mobile, etc.).
- Ensure the delivery of sales and profit targets while adhering to the budget and managing marketing and operational costs effectively.
- Implement digital marketing strategies to drive profitable customer acquisition, working with the APAC Multi-Channel Lead and relevant teams.
- Collaborate with Retail, Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing teams to create strategies that enhance online acquisition and conversion.
- Lead customer retention initiatives in partnership with customer care and operations teams to maximize loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and third-party suppliers to support online growth and drive performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks to sales, service levels, and profit margins, ensuring swift action is taken to address potential issues.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the multi-channel team, setting clear KPIs and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the JD Malaysia Multi-Channel P&L, ensuring revenue and expenditure are in line with the budget plan, reporting regularly on performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Commerce or equivalent
- Required language(s): English
- At least 5 years’ experience in an Ecommerce management position
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Experience using Google Analytics 4
- Strong data and analytical skills are essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and work as part of a small team in a fast and dynamic environment
- Proactive, independent, and results driven
- Understanding of key trends, product and brands is desirable.
- Willing to travel and possess own transport
