Social Media & Influencer Marketing Executive

This role will support content planning, social media activities, and influencer marketing to drive brand awareness, engagement, and in-store/ECOMM traffic across key platforms. Responsible in managing Malaysia/Singapore social media presence while supporting SEA direction, ensuring content aligns with JD Sports’ brand values and marketing roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all social media accounts across the region (MY/SG/TH), with a primary focus on Malaysia/Singapore platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok)

Lead the development and execution of social media strategies to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and position JD Sports as a top-of-mind brand in the market.

Create and execute content strategies that deliver engaging, creative, and innovative content to grow followers, reach, and engagement across all channels.

Develop creative briefs and collaborate closely with the creative team to produce compelling, on-brand visuals, captions, and motion content.

Plan and manage influencer marketing campaigns—including influencer sourcing, outreach, briefing, coordination, content approvals, and performance tracking—whether managed in-house or via agency support.

Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of campaigns and always-on content across social, influencer, and retail media channels, providing actionable insights for optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Multichannel, Retail, Buying, and Merchandising) to align social plans with product launches, promotional campaigns, and broader brand messaging.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to inform strategic planning and content development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field

2 - 3 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, content creation, or a creative agency

Solid understanding of social media management (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and best practices, with hands-on experience

Good understanding of social media metrics, KPIs, and basic analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics)

Creative, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and basic experience with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro)

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with various stakeholders

Strong “can-do” attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and a passion for sports, fashion, and social trends

Experience with Canva or Adobe Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
