Department – IT Operations (BAU)

 

Responsible to: IT Operations BAU Team Leader, IT Operations Manager

Location: Bury

Hours – 08:00-16:30 or 08:30-17:00 (40 hours)

 

Role Overview

Reporting to the IT Ops BAU Team Leader, the role of Administrator is to provide administration tasks to the BAU and wider Ops teams. This includes assisting and supporting the IT Ops Staging team, NSO and NSR Teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Accountabilities and Tasks:

To be responsible for the administration and providing initial triage of new requests to the IT Ops Team, including:

  • Management of the IT Ops unowned queue and directing tickets to the correct queues & teams.
  • Actioning own tickets, including requests from stores, providing regular updates, seeing work through to completion and resolving in a timely manner.
  • Arranging and coordinating Deliveries and Collections via couriers and internal methods.
  • Taking deliveries on behalf of the IT Ops Teams, recording, and distributing to the team or storing deliveries.
  • Providing reporting on key stats for the IT Ops team.
  • Finding and booking suitable Travel options, including Flights, Hotels, Trains etc. that meet strict schedules whilst minimizing costs.
  • Providing Procurement services for the IT Department, including obtaining quotes for goods and services.
  • Managing department E-Mailbox and maintaining records for the IT Ops Team.
  • ADHOC Admin support for NSO & NSR Teams, including bulk shipping and managing trackers.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

Essential

  • Problem solving skills ideally within an IT environment.
  • Administration experience essential.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and managing tasks through to completion.
  • Notetaking.
  • Customer Service Skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong desire to learn new skills and improve ways of working.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

 

Preferable

  • Experience working in a retail environment.
  • Good understanding of software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with shipping across EU.
  • Experience working with an IT ticketing software.
  • Experience with Travel Booking.
  • Experience with Procurement processes and systems.
