Compliance Engineer Manager
Role
Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Automation, the Compliance Engineer Manager is responsible for resolving all compliance issues related with the engineering and automation equipment. Will be responsible for creating compliance programs and executing them, as well as documentation and recommending process changes.
Kingsway facility is a highly automated facility with more than 1.000.000 square feet, fully automated and with equipment from different suppliers: miniload, shuttle, GTP, Rotapick, sorter, conveyors. 24x7 hours operational and delivering a volume of millions of units every month
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the definition of the maintenance, renew and upgrade plan and strategy for the automated equipment to keep the level of performance, quality and availability required by operational departments.
· Responsible for the PPM of the automated facility, including the definition according to per manufacturer instruction and the implementation and correct performance of all engineering team.
· Leading on the technical knowledge of the actual facility, improving the equipment and maintenance plan to ensure compliance and guarantee the minimum impact in operations
· Ensures compliance with all relevant equipment legislation and Health & Safety according to UK legislation such us PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, Machinery Directives, British and DIN Standards, BS7671 18th Edition
· Responsible for the monitoring of job orders perform by engineering team, defining KPI,s and metrics to track and improve the performance of the engineering team
· Responsible for all Health& Safety procedures in Engineering team, leading by example the consecution of H&S results and objectives.
· Responsible for the establishment and follow-up of automations and compliance indicators according to standard metrics used in the industry: OEE, ROI, ISO, FEM
· Responsible for dealing with suppliers and manufactures all information and instructions regarding compliance and H&S for the correct use and maintenance of equipment
Experience Required
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
· A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a compliance engineer.
· Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
· Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks.
· Solid technical knowledge and understanding of the equipment and technology in retail intralogistics automation.
· Job location permanent in Kingsway facility
