Senior Marketing Executive – adidas

Responsible to: OMNI channel marketing manager. 

Department: OMNI channel Marketing. 

 

Role overview:  

 

Advance the JD brand by managing & delivering world-class, industry & category leading marketing initiatives. Use your brand management skills to unleash the power of our Partner brands to gain front-of-mind space with the consumer. 

The JD Marketing team puts the consumer at the heart of what we do, developing campaigns, content & activations that elevate the JD brand and maximise consumer impact. The partner brand team is responsible for delivering these campaigns in a cohesive and consistent way across JD's full ecosystem, driving growth through a close strategic partnership with the brands and key internal stakeholders.

This person must be passionate, about product, sports and youth culture. They must be willing to push the boundaries and drive visionary projects forward. 

 

Responsibilities:  

 

  • Support on the development & success of the adidas brand across JDs channels. 
  • Develop and execute annual and seasonal marketing plans that align with adidas & JD.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (organic social, paid, influencer, site, app) to deliver an integrated marketing approach.
  • Plan and deliver brand activations, and campaigns that engage consumers and drive traffic across omni-channel touchpoints.
  • Manage external agencies, partners and vendors to deliver high quality campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Track and report on marketing KPI’s including ROI, sales uplift, engagement and consumer feedback.
  • Stay close to consumer trends being agile to adapt marketing strategies for consumer connection.
  • Manage internal stakeholder expectations and secure alignment on marketing priorities.  
  • Co-creation and active management of adidas’s calendar at JD.
  • Deliver ongoing analysis with clear understanding of ROI measurement and growth opportunities to be integrated into future planning. 
  • Consider global and regional/local market needs. 

 

 

Skills and Experience: 

 

  • Relevant experience in a marketing role working with & developing consumer brands on a global/regional/international level. 
  • Proven skills delivering brand growth through consumer initiatives - developing and managing brand marketing with execution experience across the full marketing mix. 
  • Strong understanding of the touchpoint & media landscape relevant to JD consumers.
  • Adept at driving cross-functional teams effectively, able to work in matrix organisations.
  • Good project management experience, managing internal stakeholders, agencies, customers, and other external partners. 
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning, and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including in brief & presentation writing. 
  • Highly proficient with all relevant computer software MS office, Keynote etc. 
  • An understanding and interest in sports lifestyle & youth culture preferred, coupled with a good understanding of the JD brand. 
  • Retail experience is an advantage.
