To support The Merchandising Operations Team with the smooth planning and operation of the Supply Chain. Ensuring timely and accurate information is available to the key stakeholders.

·       Job Title – Assistant Merchandiser - Supply Chain

·       Location – JD Group, Hollins Brook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, BL9 8RR.

·       Working rota – Monday to Friday

·       Working hours – 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support in the Monitoring and Management of the movement of goods through the Supply Chain from the orders being placed with the factories to arriving in the stores.
  • Ensure system information is accurate and up to date using the reporting and tools available.
  • Ensure key points in the critical path are being met and escalate any potential issues.
  • Be a point of contact for Factories, Freight Forwarders, Buying, Merchandising and Warehouse to help handle any queries regarding the movement of goods
  • Help check invoices for payment so that the necessary documents can be processed and released.

Teamwork

  • Reporting to the Supply Chain Merchandiser and supporting the Supply Chain team.
  • Collaborative working approach with both internal and external stakeholders, Merchandising, Buying, Freight Forwarder, Bank, Warehouse
  • ‘Can do’ attitude.
  • Be open and honest in your team.
  • Strive for a ‘right first time’ in all you do.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, either at Merchandising Admin or Assistant Merchandising level
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Numerate and Analytical
  • Comfortable using Excel
  • Very Organsied and ability to plan and prioritise tasks
  • Enjoys problem solving / issue resolution
  • Knowledge / interest in Supply Chain
  • Can work with a wide range of stakeholders.
