Social Media & Influencer Marketing Executive

This role will support content planning, social media activities, and influencer marketing to drive brand awareness, engagement, and in-store/ECOMM traffic across key platforms. Responsible in managing Malaysia/Singapore social media presence while supporting SEA direction, ensuring content aligns with JD Sports’ brand values and marketing roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all social media accounts across the region (MY/SG/TH), with a primary focus on Malaysia/Singapore platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok)

  • Lead the development and execution of social media strategies to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and position JD Sports as a top-of-mind brand in the market.

  • Create and execute content strategies that deliver engaging, creative, and innovative content to grow followers, reach, and engagement across all channels.

  • Develop creative briefs and collaborate closely with the creative team to produce compelling, on-brand visuals, captions, and motion content.

  • Plan and manage influencer marketing campaigns—including influencer sourcing, outreach, briefing, coordination, content approvals, and performance tracking—whether managed in-house or via agency support.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of campaigns and always-on content across social, influencer, and retail media channels, providing actionable insights for optimization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Multichannel, Retail, Buying, and Merchandising) to align social plans with product launches, promotional campaigns, and broader brand messaging.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to inform strategic planning and content development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, content creation, or a creative agency

  • Solid understanding of social media management (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and best practices, with hands-on experience

  • Good understanding of social media metrics, KPIs, and basic analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics)

  • Creative, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and basic experience with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro)

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with various stakeholders

  • Strong “can-do” attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and a passion for sports, fashion, and social trends

  • Experience with Canva or Adobe Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
