Hours:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (24 hrs per week)

 

Role Overview :         

 

Our People Experience Host - Reception will play a key role in supporting team members across the JD Group Campus.     With a focus on offering front of house support,  the team member will be People focused and have a genuine interest in internal communication and colleague engagement.

 

The role will form an important part of our colleague’s experience and will be working primarily within the reception area,  taking calls,  greeting guests, and supporting team members as appropriate.

 

 

 

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Daily reception duties include the following:

 

  • Being the friendly face of the JD Campus that welcome visitors and guests into the business and supporting them accordingly.
  • Ensure visitors are signed into the office, following the agreed procedure.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are notified of visitors in a timely manner, working with stakeholders to ensure visitors are collected or taken to the correct building. Providing a seamless experience to all those on site.
  • To take calls on a reception desk and deal with all general enquiries.
  • Maintain effective call handling and provide exceptional service.
  • Interacts with all departments on a daily basis, providing support as necessary.
  • Welcoming guests into the reception area, providing refreshments and general housekeeping as required. 
  • Build a knowledge of the JD Group Campus which allows you to direct colleagues and accompany guests across the site.
  • Updating campus notice boards and supporting with online communication channels / contact lists.  
  • Liaises with key departments within the campus such as catering, and security as required.
  • Support on campus activities such as arranging car valeting / fleet car drop off.
  • Supporting with ad hoc duties across the campus such as building new starter / welcome packs.
  • Following agreed processes to ensure the security of the site as well as informational security.
  • Engage with Stakeholders across the business to book and service meeting rooms.
  • Keep a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Supports continuity among the team by documenting and communicating actions to establish best working practices.
  • Offering support with JD Foundation events/ activities.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Experience working within a customer service role would be an advantage.

 

 

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and be organised in their approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • A team player who is always looking for new ways to engage and support people within the Group.
  • The ability to act with discretion,  maintaining a professional approach at all times.
  • Previous experience of working on a busy reception or in an office environment would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages would be an advantage.
  • Full training will be provided.
