Role overview:
A passionate individual looking to build a career in YouTube and long form content. The purpose of this role is to drive engagement through trend led content that features up and coming talent. You will be a key player in inputting into JD becoming a trending channel on YouTube as well as supporting the YouTube team with the day to day management of the channel.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the day-day running of the channel; content uploads, metadata/SEO and tags.
- Support on the roll out process of YouTube content across JD Sports channels.
- Be a key point of contact for our in-house social team.
- Work closely with the social team to come up with creative concepts to maximise on YouTube talent & content.
- Identify key & upcoming talents across YouTube and social channels.
- Support on any admin tasks.
- Liaise with neighbouring internal teams to support on talent and channel requirements.
- Be a point of content for our production partners.
- Feed into content for both channels from a trend POV.
- Be forthcoming with researching new and upcoming talent that aligns with the channel & JD Sports brand.
- Be a key member of building and engaging with our online community.
- Support in the delivery of graphical elements such as thumbnails and end frames.
- Support in building our JD’s TOV across the channel, reply to community comments.
- Assistant in arrangements for talent on shoots; car transfers, timings, shoot details.
- Attend shoots where necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- Be the eyes and ears of trending concepts and talent.
- Have a passion for YouTube whether that’s as a viewer or in previous career experience.
- Knowledge of the JD brand; past & present.
- Have a genuine interest in the JD culture through the lens of talent, music, content & trends.
- A good understanding best in class, relevant YouTube channels and content creators.
- An understanding of JD’s existing social channels.
- Strong attention for detail.
- Strong communication skills: able to communicate effectively between teams.
- Eagerness to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Driven to be part of a fast-growing team with ambition to win.
- Openness to growth and the ability to work closely with other teams.
