Overview: As a Payroll specialist, you will manage and oversee all aspects of payroll processing. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The Payroll Executive will work closely with the HR department to ensure that all employee compensation and benefits are processed accurately and on time. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance. The role also involves preparing payroll reports, resolving payroll discrepancies, and providing support during audits.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time including payroll tax returns and other required reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll laws and regulations
  • Maintain and update payroll records and employee information.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll-related queries.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate processing of employee benefits and deductions.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Implement necessary adjustments to payroll processes to maintain complianed
  • Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Manage payroll software and systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning properly.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Develop, optimize and implement payroll policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate, support and train managers and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Actively thinking about optimizing Payroll processes, coming up with good ideas, proactively looking for the most efficient way of working for all concerns.
  • Controled based on Analyses.
  • Maintain and update the WFM application.

 

Skills/Experience Required: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English Language
  • Knowledge about the Dutch labour market and pensions
  • Knowledge of AFAS is a big plus
  • Administratively strong and Excel knowledge
  • Attention to detail and a pro-active approach to problem solving
  • Team player and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available for 18 to 22 hours a week, divided over 3 days
